Welcome to The State Association of Young Farmers of Texas
Apply in 2024 for scholarships offered by the Texas Young Farmers Association! Each year, thanks to the generosity of our auction buyers at the State Young Farmers Convention, we provide financial support to deserving FFA members pursuing higher education in agriculture and related fields.
Key Dates:
Application Deadline: Postmarked on or before April 1
Notification: All applicants will be notified of results during the week of April 22
Types of Scholarships:
$2,000 Scholarship:
Sponsored through the State FFA Scholarship process.
$1,000 Scholarships:
Awarded to FFA members who attend a high school with a state-affiliated Young Farmer Chapter in good standing, represented by at least two voting delegates at the current year’s State Young Farmer Convention.
Format & Submission:
Applications must be in resume format, not narrative format.
Do not use the Texas FFA Scholarship application form.
Limit your application to three (3) pages.
Type or computer-generate your application on regular bond paper (no school or FFA chapter letterhead).
Required Documents:
Separate statement from the FFA chapter advisor on official school/FFA letterhead verifying eligibility (not a reference letter).
Official transcript (copy) must accompany the application.
No letters of reference or additional application letters.
